1. Set Up Your Sorting Area: Place the Pill Suite sorter on a flat surface and open the lid. Organize your pill bottles or vitamin containers nearby so you can fill each compartment without reaching. Check that all compartments are empty and clean before you start.
2. Fill Each Compartment: Add the appropriate pills to each of the 7 compartments. Use one compartment per medication or per time of day, depending on your schedule. Avoid overfilling—each compartment holds about 12 average pills. If you take more than 12 pills at once, use two compartments or split the dose.
3. Place the Lid and Invert: Put the lid on the sorter and press it down until it snaps into place. Turn the sorter upside down so the lid is on the bottom. Make sure the lid is secure before inverting to prevent spills.
4. Dispense Pills into a Pouch: Hold a Pill Suite pouch under the funnel opening. Rotate the lid to align the funnel with the compartment you want to empty. The pills will slide through the funnel into the pouch. Rotate slowly to control the flow and avoid dropping pills.
5. Label and Seal the Pouch: Use the white labeling block on the pouch to write the date, medication name, or time of day. Then seal the pouch by folding the top or using the adhesive strip if available. Double-check the label before sealing to prevent mix-ups.
