I roll them between my fingers and they compress down small enough to sit flush, then expand to fill my ear without any pressure. Wore a pair through a loud flight and stepped off without that ringing feeling.

These do the job for sleeping next to a snoring partner, and the soft foam doesn't leave my ears sore by morning. Only gripe is they start losing their squish after a few nights, so I go through a pair faster than I'd like.
