Learn how to use the Ezy Dose Pinch Valve for dispensing liquids from aspirator bottles and distilled water containers, plus essential care tips to keep it working.
Quick Answer
Attach the Ezy Dose Pinch Valve to 1/4" to 3/8" tubing, then squeeze the valve to dispense liquid from your aspirator bottle or distilled water container. Clean after each use to prevent clogging.
Why the Pinch Valve Design Matters
The one-handed pinch valve lets you control liquid flow without removing the tube or tipping the container. This reduces spills and makes it easier to fill small openings or measure doses.
Choosing the Right Tubing
The valve fits tubing with an outer diameter between 1/4" and 3/8". Using tubing outside this range may cause leaks or poor flow. Check your existing tubing before attaching the valve.
How to Use the Ezy Dose Pinch Valve
- Attach the Valve to Tubing: Slide the pinch valve onto clean, dry tubing that has an outer diameter between 1/4" and 3/8". Push it on firmly until the tubing is fully seated inside the valve. If the tubing is loose, trim a fresh end or use a different size. A loose fit will leak.
- Connect Tubing to Container: Insert the other end of the tubing into your aspirator bottle, distilled water container, or Reconstitube. Ensure the tube reaches the bottom of the container so it picks up liquid. If the tube does not reach the bottom, you will draw air instead of liquid.
- Squeeze the Valve to Dispense: Hold the container upright. Squeeze the pinch valve gently with your thumb and forefinger to open the flow. Release to stop. Use one hand so you can hold the receiving container with the other. Squeezing too hard can cause the tube to kink or the valve to slip off. Use steady, moderate pressure.
- Rinse After Each Use: Remove the valve from the tubing. Rinse both the valve and tubing with warm water. Shake out excess water and let air dry completely before storing. Dried residue inside the valve can cause sticking or blockages. Rinse promptly.
- Store in a Dry Place: Keep the valve and tubing in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight. Avoid bending the tubing sharply during storage. Sunlight and heat can harden the tubing over time, making it brittle and harder to seal.
